Every Thursday evening many of the people of WMPORN meet to share in good fun, technical talk and general updates about what everyone has been up to. Almost all of these meetings take place at Tommy Brann's Steakhouse located on Division Avenue between 44th and 36th streets at the corner of Bellvue and Division about 8:00pm. These get-togethers take place rain or shine and very rarely do we go anywhere else on Thursday evening.

One exception to this rule is the Thursday before the Dayton Hamvention begins. On that night, most of us are already in Dayton or are preparing to leave for Dayton to arrive by 6:00am Friday morning. For many years we have even met on Thanksgiving Evening at one of the local restaurants.

Not on the D-Star repeater yet? That's OK, just listen to one of the other WMPORN repeaters such as 442.175 or 223.920 as there are most always people listening to or talking on those repeaters that are on their way to Brann's.

We also go other places from time to time after an event on a weekend, or we just plain feel like getting together for diner or coffee and desert. About the only way to know about these impromptu meetings is to listen to one or more of the WMPORN repeaters as we most always make our plans on the repeaters.
